Jesus Green Pool is one of the few survivors of the lidos built in the UK during the 1920s. Tynemouth Outdoor Pool – like many others – fell into disuse in the 1990s. Today it’s a sad and crumbling rockpool. Now, a charity is raising funds to see it renovated. They’ve launched a community shares offer and so far attracted pledges of more than £300,000.
